To Drink or not to think of not Drinking.

Well another winter went away and as years goes by it shortens itself in Kolkata. This year it just didn’t give the bite all of us enjoy. And chilling winter means good liquor and great company along with it. I have always been a very fastidious drinker. This year I found a new taste bud for whisky and Scotch whisky. Earlier I have always preferred beer as a light go and Vodka as the brainwasher! This winter I have realised that two shots of whisky gives an intoxication which is mild but smooth. Vodka on the other hand has a long lasting effect but hard on the head. The time and the place always matters on what would be your choice for the evening.

When it comes to drinking; I follow few of my own discovered laws and guidelines because I want to enjoy myself rather becoming a pain for other. I will share few of those; Stick to one flavour for the night, beer goes with anything but it is not advisable to mix 3 to 4 in one go. Knowing your Limits, no one knows how much one can take on a given day, and this varies from day to day. Follow the 3 D’s of drinking as it works and you can have the time of your life. Dilute Duration and Diet. Few may think that diluting a drink isn’t ‘fun enough’, and they are right. Well you don’t need to dilute the drink outside it can be done inside as well. In simple words – Just take enough water; Duration is time My recommendation 2 large shot (60 ml) of whisky/vodka/gin in at least 90 min. Diet, well even doctors say avoid spice with liquor, can we? Most of the cases we can’t. I know I will be booed for saying this – best dish is breezed salad and sweet corn chicken, if you want mouth watering dishes choose something with low oil contain.
